"Long before the invention of books, let alone the electronic media, human beings gathered together to entertain themselves with story telling. From prehistoric times to our modern slumber parties, weaving a good story, especially a scary one, has been a popular group activity. This oral tradition is a powerful component of every vital culture, and the Celts were masters at it, telling stories about the thunder god, Thor, or the evil spirit Loki. Now, you can join in this tradition by participating in our new story telling link. foreign films, and help craft new, "cyber-sagas" that will evolve with each viewer's contribution.

We've set up a discussion blog with the opening paragraphs of four cliff hanger type stories that we welcome our viewers to participate in. These story openings were created by Chris Margolin, who has been an avid book club member with the same group of women for twelve years. She wanted to start the ball rolling because, as she puts it, "A good tale is the most important feature of any novel, short story, or film, and people who have the gift of telling a good story, be it a personal experience, a hand-me-down legend, a made up thing, or just telling their family history, are to me very interesting!", Their articulation, animation, and body language all work together to bring an interesting tale to life.

So, come join us. Try your hand at storytelling----and have fun!
